The coolant overflow tank is fine. The low coolant switch mechanism is fine. But the float that actuates the switch is not floating. It just sinks and therefore makes the car think the fluid is too low. Anyone know of a way to fix that? No way that i know of to get to the float without destroying the tank.

Check with JUSTDENNIS on this site. He has a V-spec car and had to jumper his Coolant Level Sensor on his car. I suspect he had the same problem you are having.

Thats a bypass but not recommended. As these cars only get damage to the engineering nes when they are run hot, watching cooling level is very important. Tgey also can develop acsmall keak in the return hose that is hardly seen and over time will loose enough coolant to run hot.
