I really like the blue steel & shale combination you have. It seems to be pretty rare, and I would like to have that when I get ready to buy. (Weirdly, there's one in that combination on ebay right now. I'm going to post the link in the for-sale forum.)

Looks like you are not too far from me. When the weather opens up a bit, I'd be happy to take you to lunch in exchange for a look at your car.

Popped on the trunk bumpers today......easy peasy......just a bit of twisting and pushing into place. No adjustments necessary. Thanks Greg!

trying to find chrome 18"s similar to stock with wide spokes haven't had any success do you know of any mfr that has something?

A member since 2009 when we purchased our 2007 XLR V. In 2024 we were fortunate to pick up a 2007 Ron Fellows Edition Z06 (Canadian model). Enjoy going to local car shows with the cars and talking to people about these rare beauties.

I read you were having problems with the tilt wheel after hooking up the xtools d7 scanner. Did you ever resolve the issue? My tilt will only go up half way. It will tilt down and in and out. But not up all the way.

Well I found out why my tilt wheel would not fully go to the up position. There was a error code b2355-17 driver vertical position sensor this caused the seat calibration on the tech2 to not work. It stated "clear codes before calibration" I tried clearing the code but that didn't work. So next I tried moving the driver seat up down back and forward to the fullest. Then I scanned for codes ...there were none.

Next using my xtools d7 in the seat menu, set up seat module. This cause the steering column to move is all positions then returning to the original position. The calibration ended. But the steering column would not move after that procedure. Next using the D7 I went to the steering wheel column menu and performed the column calibration.

That worked. I'm sure the Tech2 would have been faster but i wanted to make find out if the Xtools D7 was making the error instead of fixing the error. It was and it did. So to recap the D7 seat calibration causes the steering wheel tilt/telescope to freeze. The D7 steering wheel column menu/ calibration is the fix.

hello rexster.you seem to be have the most knowledge on these cars on this forum.Question.i have a 2004.I know its an 1 year only key fob.Is it possible to change the rcdlr from another newer year car,with a tech2 .to make it easier to get key fobs?Thank you

I'm not for sure. More than likely it wouldn't work since there was a lot of changes from the 04/05 series to the 06 on up even trying to program it with the Tech II

I have used my tech2 to help another XLR owner and I use to live in Grosse Ile Mi. but moved to Florida 3 years ago or I could scan it for you, sorry. Where do you live?

My wife and I lived in the downriver area our whole life until we moved to Florida and we miss the boating from our back yard in Grosse Ile but we don't miss shoveling snow. We have already made two trips back this summer visiting family and friends. Good luck and let me know if I can help.

Contact MickeyTee at XLR.Net regarding the Fuel Level Sender Readings you get on your car. He seems to know something about these being "reversed" on the 06-09 cars.
