Thanks for all the welcomes and help. Any of you in the Chicago/Northwest Indiana have a trusted mechanic/shop who knows our cars or a Cadillac dealer with an XLR certified technician?

Found my 2006 Steel Blue at Jabaay Motors in Merrillville, Indiana. It is in great cosmetic condition with only a few minor issues. Hope it stays that way! Thanks for all the new member welcome greetings.

    2006 Cadillac XLRV air filters

Have a local O'Reily Auto parts store? They ordered the AC Delco engine air filters and Wix cabin filter and I had them in a day.

    Manual shift issue

Thanks for such a prompt response! In manual mode tapping lever forward or back does not shift out of the gear initially in when I go from auto to manual. Know these cars are electronic wonders. Anything I can do to diagnose or fix before I turn to trained mechanic is appreciated.

    Manual shift issue

My recently purchased 2006 XLR shifts perfectly in automatic mode but wont work in manual mode. When placed in manual it shows gear it's in on hud but will not shift up or down. Any thoughts on problem and a fix? Thanks......Caddyman

Just purchased a 2006 Steel Blue XLR with 24K miles. Looking forward to some top down time as it is my first convertible. Weather cooperate!
