for what its worth i recently purchased a new ecu for the conv top from ebay. for $400 so they are out there again.. he had a few avail.

also does anyone know of a good XLR tech in Georgia? i am north of Atlanta. can do my own mechanical work. but since i dont have a gm diagnostic tool.. ill need assistance.

So i replaced the conv top ecu and had TopHydraulics rebuild my pump. i installed it .. Do i have to do a relearn to get this top operating? strangely the trunk will open under hydraulics.. it will open with my key fob and or the button on the knee panel. but it will not go down.. i can close it...

fyi . incase these items become hard to find for future reference. I am pretty sure these guys rebuild these parts. top hydraulics inc.

have you tried this test. sit in the drivers seat shut door. turn on activate the accessory mode on the ignition button (do not start the engine) once the accessory mode is on. (a light will appear on the dash switch and the display screen will say "accessory mode" once this mode is activated...

for instance. i can install a cd and it will show the display with the play cursor . i can push play it will activate and the counter works so its playing but absolutely no sound. same thing on fm stations i can tune to a channel but nothing comes out of the speakers.
