There was definitely some type of screwup at the shop... we waited weeks for a response. Every time we thought they were done they said they needed more time. Unfortunately it was raining hard that day when it happened. :/ It was black and always stayed in Carolina.
It happened after I sold my XLR to my father... We live in South Carolina. I was moving it back to my garage to avoid a terrible storm (he lives in an area which floods) and while traveling on the Interstate going at normal speed... next thing I heard was a WOOOSH and then felt a draft...
Yeah I managed to get it off and did the same thing:) the only tricky part is don't break the tabs from the courtesy light cover... I did and never replaced it lol. I actually parted ways with my XLR as a retirement gift to my father but I still plan to work on it every now and then for him...
Hmmm... I don't think I'm ready to lose the ability to drop the top just yet. :) I'm going to keep the speakers in their stock location at least for now. Also looking at some of the previous forum posts cruise control and onstar are also tied into the Nav system/factory head unit too... so...
Unfortunately it appears the left subwoofer is blown in my '04. :ugh: I've noticed less bass response and it sounds flat at certain low frequencies when turned up. I guess playing AC/DC at full blast finally caught up with me. :rocker:
