Need A Body Control Module for a 2006 Base

Question. CAN those modules be re-programmed??? I didn't know they were 'burned in'.

Need A Body Control Module for a 2006 Base

Oh gee, Super!. Thanks for the dreary news 😒. Already decided if I can ever get it back in at least running condition, it's a goner. I'll sell it to anyone who'll take it. I won't lie about it, just hope someone else is willing to take on the headaches.

Need A Body Control Module for a 2006 Base

My local Caddy Dealer is Sewell Cadillac of Dallas. They have been great trying to fix this. Problem is they've acquired three BCMs. Each one, when installed, caused other problems because they had already been programmed for another car. They say they need one that is a virgin or can be...

    XLR gets roasted,,,,

I think the main reason they failed was the price. When you could get the fastest, most loaded Corvette for $20k less, who's gonna go with the XLR? Obviously not enough. Caddy was so all-fired determined to butt heads with Mercedes, they priced themselves out of the market. Also if Caddy...

The Saga of owning an XLR.

Sorry for your problems. I've had a few with my 2006 base (some of them my fault), but nothing compared to yours. But it's such fun to drive and look at that I'm willing to put up with its foibles, at least for now.

    Aloha!

Would love to do the same thing to my 2006 base. What kind of system(s) did you put in? Did someone like Car Toys do it, or did you do it yourself?

    new baby in garage!

Be aware: They do not have the paper work for every car. Do know why, but they didn't have one for my XLR. The lady said they only have 'some' of them.

Neat! Great to have you. I'll bet you get a thousand questions about it everywhere you go over there. Enjoy your wonderful car!

Yo, Charles. Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to you & Shirley from Kathleen & me. Still hoping to see you again some day, but damn! How time does slip away! Still enjoying our XLR and hope to get up that way. Have a great 2021 (if can't get a whole lot worse than 2020:sick:! Doug &...

Need a radiator support cross-member for my 2007

I've busted mine twice. First time I took it to the local Caddy dealer: $2200! Second time I took it to my local highly-trusted and excellent general repair shop. He had a good aluminum welder who simply welded everything back in place: $200. Check around and see if you can find someone...

What did you do to / with your XLR today?

Several of us from the North Texas Cadillac LaSalle Club went on a nice cruise along the Red River in north Texas. Perfect weather. Great fun.

What did you do to / with your XLR today?

Met several other car nuts at Paris, Texas, and went on two hour cruise of the backroads of NE Texas. Saw some beautiful scenery. Come on folks! Get out there & drive 'em! And send pix! Your area may still be in semi-lockdown, but that doesn't keep you from enjoying your baby and the scenery...
