What are you using for switchback functionality? No flashers in the system. BCM controls the lights. Common ground for all the lights. Really sounds like the bulb/circuit you are using for the DRL -switchback is bad.

Sensor on the top of the dash is ambient light sensor for dash intensity. Also the is another screw/bolt holding the dashpad on under the left hand dash button stack panel.

FYI, I tell you one of them white 08 V’s has been wrecked twice and parted out. I still have the bare frame.
