Power seat, top, tilt wheel not working

A 10A fuse does not blow at exactly 10A. It is a complex formula that includes time and ambient temperature. Fuses are great at protecting from massive over current faults but not so good at protecting against faults closecto the ratings of the wiring.. It is entirely possible that you have...

    Help! Help...Brakes Locked...stuck in road

Agree, whatever the issue, the ABS is being commanded to engage the brakes. I don't understand how a simple brake switch failure could cause the ABS to engage. My understanding of ccclarke's post was that wiring in the steering column can short. I believe the wiring includes the yaw sensor...

    Help! Overheating

That sounds like it is fairly normal operation. The Northstar engine likes it hot but as are you, I get uncomfortable with its operation. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

    Help! Overheating

Make sure you don't have any obstructions blocking air flow through the radiator. Have you checked that the cooling fan is coming on? Cadillac designed the fan with a variable speed control. It comes on at very low speeds...to be quiet until the temps start reaching 220 - 240F, then the fan...

    Help! Help...Brakes Locked...stuck in road

According to an old post from ccclarke from 2005 you may have an issue with wires in the steering column. TSB 06-02-35-002. Press and hold the Traction Control Switch until it chimes 2 times each time you start the car . Get home and have the wiring checked. Good luck. Sent from my SM-N975U...

Help! No power, third new Red Top Optima this year

I know it is frustrating but there is a logical explanation. It won't be able to be solved on this forum. It will take someone who has a good understanding of the cars electrical system. They will need to isolate the current draw to properly diagnose the problem. Find someone in your area...

    A/C troubles

So the problem with the ambient air sensor was a wiring issue. How do they know that there aren't more wiring issues affecting your a/c system? Did the dealer tech drive the car with a Tech2 connected while monitoring the a/c system?, Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

    Gas gauge flips out

Known problems with XLRs and Corvettes. Most likely Sulfer build up on the resistive element on the fuel sender. Try putting some Techron in with the next few fill ups and only use Shell Premium gas to dissolve the Sulfer buildup . These two things fixed my fuel gage problems without having...

    Help! Trunk lid problems--

When you say that it will not stay up, do you mean that the deck lid closes slowly on its own without the pump running? Or do you mean the deck lid goes up and then the pump turns back on and closes the decklid on its own? If it is the former, check the manual relief valve on the hydraulic...

    A/C troubles

I would trace the ground wires for the temp sensor and horn circuits all the way back to the chassis. . Probably just need to clean the spots where the grounds attach to the chassis. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

    How difficult to replace shocks?

My 2005 had a clip that needed to be removed to take off the electrical connector. Similar to what GM uses on their fuel/oil/transmission cooler lines. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

    How difficult to replace shocks?

I replaced all four shocks on my 05 base last spring and did not need to remove the tie rod ends. As I recall I simply removed the two lower bolts and the nut on the top and wrestled the old shocks out and the new shocks in. Access/clearance was tight but doable. Sent from my SM-N975U using...
