Hello, all...
I went to drop my top this morning and received the above message. I had checked the divider previously and ensured it was in place. I unhooked it and replaced it at least three times, but with the same result. Checked for obstructions in the receiver area... actually fingered...
Just crossed the 100k mile threshold on my '06 V. For anyone who has amassed this amount of milage on their V's, how necessary is it to perform all of the listed activities that Cadillac specifies at this level of miles? I've replaced the engine air filter recently, and could see where it may...
Can't speak to Alabama, but there's one at the Caddy dealer in Pensacola, Florida... about 45 miles south of the state line. It's been a couple of years since I visited Larry, so you might call to ensure he's still on board.
I do not, Jay. I’m not familiar with any later changes that would include the battery tray or compartment, but that certainly does not imply there were none. Perhaps someone with a later model can chime in. Good battery, good luck!
I've owned this battery for a couple of years now. It was a direct swap... fit perfectly and cranks/maintains the car very well. Like any battery, it will decline if not used/maintained on a regular basis, but it's a solid selection for my V.
Thanks for the head's up, LTS. Local Caddy parts guy said he was showing some stock in Lansing and I ordered four. Now to see if they actually arrive...
Update: Was able to loosen the two fender hinge bolts and push it down some, recapturing most of the elevation on that side. Looks much better and balanced now. Thanks for the input!
Thanks for the reply, Gord! I cannot detect any loose bolts or scrapes on the hinges. I have not removed any bolts yet, so unsure if there is "adjustment space" underneath the washer. The hood does not appear to be bent or mis-shaped in any manner that I can see. I also cannot remember any...
These are photos of the hood corners on my V. There does not appear to be anything the hood is contacting that would force the passenger side to be elevated. Perhaps the bracket needs adjusting, but nothing is loose.
Just noticed that the windshield corner of my hood on the passenger side is elevated approx. 1/2" when closed. Driver side is flush with the fender as normal. I cannot detect anything that is preventing the elevated side from resting flush with the fender. The channel from windshield to grill...
Thanks for the response. I have seen some cone-shaped bushings online and wondered if they could be bonded to the studs. They would need to have an opening very close to the OEM cones, I would think, and that was not defined in the online listing. Let us know how your project turns out and...
