Tips on Installing Interior Pillar Trim One side of my pillar trim had bubbling of the leather covering. I just got my new right hand trim piece for my '08 V, I would be very interested in any tips before I tackle the swap. Thanks, Joe

I got lucky when I finally found my V. It had 23K miles, and a remarkably blemish-free body. When I picked the car up at a Cadillac dealer in Ohio in January it was zero degrees. The car was outside waiting for me, and I just paid and hit the road...too cold for a rigorous inspection. But...

No luck with Krytox, Gummi Pfledge, Back-to Black or Zaino tire dressing. The problem is the residual coating, apparently applied at the factory, that gave the weatherstrip a glossy appearance has come off in many places. I suppose, like some others, I'll have to just scrub the rest off...then...

I have a fairly minor issue with the aluminum trim near the shift quadtrant. I have a handful of minor indentations, almost as if the PO had a nervous habit of tapping a pen or something on the aluminum trim. I looked at trying to get a replacement bezel, but can only find the whole console...
