Interesting and good to know. I do believe the part number for the one I ordered was the same as the oem xlr motor, it just didn't have the thermister built in so I'm at a loss there, but hey, that thermister is small, I just removed from the old motor, I keep it connected and protected and all...

And as you mentioned, only the xlr has one? Why is that? The same motor is used in the Chrysler Crossfire, BMW's etc. without the thermoster. How required is it? My thought is just a fail safe for overheating ... or having 2 inline fuses for the same light bulb.

You are correct, the replacement does not have the thermoster, therefore I left it connected, sealed it and set it to the side,, I was a bit worried it would fail not being connected to the motor but everything functions as it should, I do believe it protects the motor from over heating which...

Mickeytee is a smart man with good advise. If the keyfob won't unlock or lock the door I would have the technician try swapping the door pads first to see if that fixes the issue. Process of elimination..... then go with the lock actuator if those test's fail.
