That is the route I took. $20 for the 2-pack of C6 switches. I was able to remove the button portion of both switches and swap the round C6 button with the original rectangular XLR button. (used a tiny, skinny screwdriver to pry the button from the switch)

Just wanted to let you know.....the C6 part worked for me. I was able to pop off the cap/button and swap the round C6 cap with the original rectangular XLR cap. Thanks

Thanks....I know the Corvette button is a different shape, but was wondering if the mechanism itself would work with the XLR. I'm assuming it's the same technology.....just might need to alter how it's mounted because it's round vs rectangular. I'll see if I can find the article. thanks...
