    Help! 2006 XLR with blown Head Gasket - Dealership will not repair

    How long ago did the swap the engine? Ive never seen one with a blown headgasket. Id lke to buy the old one to tear it down and see just what failed. Let me know if they still have it.

    Center-mount backup camera

    Im working on one to mount the radio up higher inplace of the vents and move the vents down under the radio. Seems evety new car i drive is set up that way and i like the screen higher so i dont look down as much. Give me your opinion.. What kind of trunk button did you use?

    Not tham im aware of. If its wet pretty much gone. If it works partially but stops mid cycle they can bevrepaired. There is a guy that supposedly is working on them but i have no hope. He wants to change the whole system to different switched replace the potentiometer s . i dont know exactly...

    If one failed you really need to replace both. It may hold the trunk open but its not assisting the pump to lift the trunk. Extra effort causes the pump to work harder and fail. Thats a 1000$ vs 15$ for a strut.

    Yes . a little micro torch. Cheap at harbor freight. Without some heat you are correct they will snap right off

    All i use is a thin long screwdriver you just slip it behind the bottom clip and twist and the ball end pops right off. I do so many i bent the tip on one screwdiver to make it even simpler. you have to heat to keep from breaking it. Glad you got it figured out. Its easier for me to pop off the...
