    Welcome! As for one over the other, a lot depends upon the year. I own an 08 XLR and have had little to no problems.

    The Electric Control Unit/Module (ECU/ECM) controls one or more of the electrical systems or subsystems. Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

    End of RunFlats?

    Are tire manufacturers discontinuing run flats? I heard the Vs cannot find them anymore. This may indicate the end of run flats if they are not profitable enough.

    Future New Owner

    I would suggest sticking with an 08 or 09, due to several problems with earlier models (top delamination ect.). Parts are hard to find for all models due to low production and no Cadillac support.

    Start the XLR with a dead key fob

    I suggest keeping a spare battery or two in your car. They are cheap on ebay.
