    Daily Driver?

Hey OK, so I use my X as a daily driver. Have, since I got it a year ago October, '18. Just wonder how many here use theirs as a daily driver as well. Bill

    The Hydraulic fluid

Hey Is there a way to change out the hydraulic fluid, short of pulling the pump ? The X is going on 14 now and really doubt that the fluid has ever been changed. Maybe even a partial change out ? Realize that the fluid to each cylinder probably can't be flushed out, but would like to change...

    Roof dents

Hey And again I would ask...What is the issue which is occurring? Are there hinge joints wearing out? Are there adjustments that go "out of adjustment" It was mentioned that GM knows about this and that there was a fix.... a bracket that would remedy the matter, but that it was on...

    Roof dents

Hey OK, but still not understanding how it can happen. Something must be wearing or going out of adjustment, OR people are sitting on the back when the roof is folded up. Bill

    Roof dents

Hey So is this a common problem? Is there something that goes out of adjustment? Does the trunk lid settle? Is there linkage wear? Not understanding how, if you dremmel off the end of the bolt, the damage then could continue to occur even after putting in a felt pad. Sounds like...

Lowest priced V in the country still available in CA

Seems like I've seen this before. The Allante. I had a '91. There are some still around, but I remember a few years (6 or 7) ago when it became increasingly clear that they were being bought up and parted out as they were worth more as parts . The second best day for me was the day I got rid of...

    Will 04 6 CD Player work in a 07

Hey I too have chosen to stay with the "original" configuration and keep my '06 X as close to the OEM build as possible, and I do not show my car. It is just what I want with my X. We each have our perspective on things. I do believe the '04 unit will swap into the '06. Can not imagine the...

    C-5 or C-6

Hey What is the answer? Is the XLR based on the C-5 or C-6 chassis ? Understand the X came out in '04 but was for all intents created in '03 and that the C-6 came out in '05. Is it a C-5 or did GM update things in '05 for the X. Have seen it stated both ways at different points on the...

Also looking for seat switch part

Hey OK , so I looked at the old side seat bezel in the X and found that that black plastic part I referenced above is actually a part of the tan bezel; it is plastic welded to the outer shell by GM. Had the replacement part I bought months ago, so figured had the time and installed it...

Also looking for seat switch part

Hey Looking for the plastic switch housing bracket which is behind the seat switch bezel cover. It is some type of black plastic ABS or something . It has an upper ledge that hangs on to the metal bracket that is screwed to the seat. I need that plastic bracket that the seat switches...

How much current should the XLR draw when the car is off?

For what it's worth, my take on this matter would be to first question whether the "XLR dealer" mentioned above is reading the meter correctly? An acceptable current draw on a vehicle should be around .03 Amps (30 milli amps). Maybe he meant to say .043?? If the .30 amp draw can not be managed...

May be an interesting read about On-Star services

Hey, Not exactly the same. In order for an "alternative" to work, Bluetooth technology is required. This, unfortunately, is not available on the '06 XLR V in the stock production form. Pretty sure it also applies to the '07 through '09 Some additional features available through On-Star, I do...
