Help! Trouble shifting out of park.

Most cars have some kind of emergency release button/knob/slot to release the safety on the transmission if it won't shift out of park and/or you can't get the knob to push in. Alas, the XLR is not one of them. If you have to shift "manually", you may have to pull the cable from the shift...

We've heard nothing but great things about Red Noland! I'm sure you'll be happy with their service. Heck, most of us know exactly where it is from our Colorado trip a few years ago.

    DSC Not working

I finally found it. According to the work order, they replaced "K5225 Control Assembly, Floor Shift". The part # is 15217064, but I couldn't find anything out about it online. I hope it wasn't the whole thing..... I'll keep looking and let you know what I find....

    Help! LED Light Questions

I replaced mine a few years ago. Yes, I did need a resistor - I don't remember the wattage of it. My complaint is that my amber LED replacement (front DRL) isn't nearly as bright as the regular incandescent lamp (and I've tried a few different types of LEDs). The socket for the DRL is a...

    DSC Not working

My 04 had a very similar issue. I'd picked it up from getting serviced at my local dealer and, when I hit the freeway and moved the gear selector to shift manually, nothing happened. The indicator did not light up in my HUD and the + and - signs were not lit up on the shifter. Are yours lit...

    I Have One

Great picture - thanks for sharing! I loved the Allante's when they came out. My boss had one and I thought it was spectacular! My first drool-over Cadillac were the 1980-85 Sevilles. The Allante just cemented my love for all things Cadillac!

Clicking in front end... radiator supports?

The support is made from aluminum - you may be able to find a local person (like I did) or bodyshop who can reweld or repair it. It would certainly be cheaper. It does support the radiator - you'll probably be fine on your trip BUT the radiator will only be supported by the inlet and/or...

    Seat leather replacement

While you're at it, you may as well replace the plastic housing for the seat controls. It's only 20.00 or so, and, if yous is like mine, its all scuffed up from hitting it too many times. It's VERY easy to replace while the seat is out, and difficult when the seat is in. There's a screw on...

Petit Le Mans 2011 @ Road Atlanta

Indeed! Thanks to Gizmo for hooking me up with the freebie tickets from Cadillac! It was great to see the folks I saw, but I was bummed to miss Bruce & Kathy and Jack & Lynda. I was only able to attend Saturday afternoon. Nonetheless, I had a great time! Thanks to all!!!!!

Petit Le Mans 2011 @ Road Atlanta

I'll take one!!! I presently have a ticket for Saturday only, so I'd be willing to let someone else have it who will be there longer than 1 day. But if there are less than 5 takers, I'd love to have one!
