2004 XLR: I tried to lower my roof today and the message center stated "Top Motor Overheated" and the top won't move. Any suggestions?

Dead Battery Use the long key in the left lower corner of the rear bumper cover (open square painted plug) That will release the rear lid and then you can pull the handle to open the doors, then the hood for battery access.

All fixed! Found out my Dealer had bent the air cleaner tube when they reassembled after replacing the thermostat. Of course they told me I needed catalytic convertors before they found their screw-up.

Fuel Cap Campaign There is a GM fuel cap campaign for poor fitting fuel cap which will turn on the check engine light. Have your GM dealer run a VIN search and see if your XLR needs a new cap
