Today when I put my top down I heard groaning sounds and again my top groaned when I put it up. I checked my owners manual and can not find any information about fluid levels or where to check. I was able to find what kind of fluid to use here on the forum, but nothing about how or where to...
You may have to reprogram your fobs to get availability to the DIC Options. I have had to perform this procedure on two different occasions. :cool:
<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <o:OfficeDocumentSettings> <o:AllowPNG/> </o:OfficeDocumentSettings> </xml><![endif]--> This procedure will erase all...
I found this on a Corvette forum, so I don't know it if it will help you or not.
"You've got the wrong fob. Options are only available when the car is turned on using fob 1 or 2.

Hurray! now that I installed the Volant CAI in place of the DIY CAI using Spectre parts that I built for myself, the check engine light went off by its self. So thanks to everyone. It goes to prove that what has worked in the past, still works.
I guess the engine wasn't getting enough air. :dunno:
I glad you were able to get a copy of the service manuel, it's always a big help. Where were you able to find a .pdf copy and how much did it cost? :cool:
I was lucky to find a copy of the complete service manual (all four books) on ebay. Having a copy of the manual does help. Here is copy of page of 8-627. :cool:
All the custom wheels look great and are a better choice than the stock wheels that come on the car. I still Like the chrome wheels that you could get from Cadillac on the 2009 XLR Platinum. :cool:
I think the chrome wheels really look good on my 2004. :cool:
If I read all of the posts correctly the 160 degree thermostat will make the XLR-V run better. My question is will it make the XLR Base run better? and do I need to have the ecm values changed If I go to the lower degree thermostat? :cool:
I am finally convinced and installed a Volant Cold Air Intake today. They did not list one for a 2004 XLR so I just ordered one for a 2005 XLR.
Thanks for all the Info. :cool:
