    Headlight repair service?

If the USA was truly a Socialist state, there would be no XLR's. We would be confined to public transportation (which is so damn wonderful) and living in public housing complexes which would never have such an elitist installation as a a garage. And last time I checked the public schools were...

Good, I may be a buyer.

    Headlight repair service?

Vacuum forming: now that's a good idea. You can use tougher plastics with that. I got an outer lens sitting in my workshop, if you are interested in it.

    Headlight repair service?

Well, I HATE opening headlights, especially these rare ones. So if Mr. super guy will do the work for $250.00 and you supply him the parts, that's a great deal. I don't make the outer lens with my own printer, because like you said the machines are very expensive, but I rent machine time in...

    Headlight repair service?

Yes, I have the 3D scanned STL files with RE. But it's complicated; because not just the outer lens, but the bezel under the outer lens needs to be 3D printed.

Lens service that I perform. I can't afford to have a shop in Socialist California.

    Help! Headlight sticking

NMB Linear Actuator I made a NMB Linear Actuator driver that I hook up to the headlight plug. With a remote card, I can drive the headlight motor forward and back to check it without taking it out of the car. Customers don't pay me for a miss-diagnosis. NMB motor nested in a headlight; cool...

    Headlight repair service?

Sketchy These cats seem sketchy...you don't just repair a burn mark on plastic. The nature of plastic is; burned through or cracked plastic has to be replaced. It costs me at least $250 to make a DRL lens and around $800.00 to make the outer lens. Their math just doesn't add up.

I use Clearvue and works around SoCal but and don't recommend long parks in the sun or trips to Vegas in the summer. I love polycarbonate, but it's brittle. I would be afraid of shattering, but then again melting isn't good either.

I have the circuit done, just been putting off the hassle of the final steps. I have create a new wire loom and plug to work with the circuitry and getting everything to fit neatly by the headlight. You may have a better way, but it has to be plug and play easy to install for people. And yes...

    parameters

I noticed that programming feature in the SRX radio software. Don't know why the XLR software doesn't have it. I put both radio software programs in a comparator program for code differences. Way more differences in code than I expected. I don't know why, because they run on the same radio model.

Physics 301: Electromagnetism and circuity design. First rule, never design a circuit that is energy inefficient. Clever is a 0.7 mA circuit design to control the DRL. Not waste 1.5 to 2Ah continually with a dumb resistor.

It looks the same as the original, but with low heat tolerance. ~130F max.

This sort of went dormant after no one seem to care. I had the headlights scanned on my one dime in case my XLR headlights went bad. I printed a DRL lens successfully for around $250, but the DRL bulb has to be LED. I'm not doing the resistor bull$hit (a stupid-ass moron who thought wasting...

    Hearst's V

Yesterday I saw an interesting Cadillac XLR V for sale at a local Ford dealership; yes a Ford dealership. The manager said it belonged to the Hearst family and it only had 3800 miles on the odometer and they were asking $51,997. The manager told me they are offering a one year warrantee on the...

Mullins Auto would like to offer parts for the XLR and XLR-V models.

Asking $2020 If there is dirt, moisture probably got in too. The adaptive motor may be shot. $800 maybe. I would need to pre-bake and open the headlight, maybe print a new lens and gasket cover, re-metalize the reflector, maybe print a new DRL lens. Clean and test the adaptive motor inside...
