    Bluetooth into the XLR

Well, someone has done it. Here is an 07 GMC Sierra upgraded to 09 OnStar with a few add-ons required for the process. The VICM, a bluetooth antenna (to synch with the phone), and a new set of steering wheel switches (for the 'talking mouth' OnStar button). It ran him about $300 for...

    Service manuals

Chad, Go to helm inc. to get them. On the corvette forum, there is a sponsor (gmpartshouse) that sells them a little cheaper. I have asked for a price on the 09 XLR service manual but have not heard back from them yet. Their FAQ section tells how to find the Corvette manual on their website...

    Bluetooth into the XLR

If I went out and bought a book to answer all my questions, I would be a very poor individual - financially speaking. That I why I prefer putting the question to the forum. Maybe someone has an 09 and bought the service manual for themselves, and we all can benefit from their investment.

    Bluetooth into the XLR

So I guess my idea is to get a new Vehicle Communication Interface Module (VCIM) for an 09 (and any additional pieces parts to make it function) and integrate it back into the car. This way you retain OnStar service (following successful reconfiguration with the new STID and ESN numbers that...

    Bluetooth into the XLR

05 Service Manual Specs. Here is what I have to offer from the 05 perspective: Sorry if they are a little hard to read. So I am looking for similar information on the OnStar system from an 09 if anyone has it handy. Ben

    Bluetooth into the XLR

I figured that you would have to give up the On-Star service - which I have already done, so that part is not a deal breaker. I believe the steering wheel buttons were for cars that have On-Star buttons on the steering wheel, not just radio control buttons. When they speak of the 'talking...

    Help! Radio Aux Connection Installation?

I was just looking up information for bluetooth and came across this statement on edmunds.com "...and Bluetooth connectivity bring the XLR into the 21st century, as does the new iPod interface, which is available through Cadillac Accessories." Does anyone know of this iPod interface through...

    Bluetooth into the XLR

I am considering a few options to add bluetooth connectivity to my XLR. After having it in my other vehichles, I am feeling a decided lack when I miss calls in the XLR due to not hearing the phone ring. I have learned about a new product offered by CoSTAR Technologies at costartech.com called...

Thanks all! We are in Pigeon Forge, TN right now and plan on catching the Biltmore Estate in a few days. I see Bruce is planning an event there later this year. Yes, me married, it is surreal. I am currently a LT(O-3) in the Navy - presently in Omaha, however that is soon to change. I have about 8 years in and 12 more to go. Ben

    Need help here.

Tags Bob, Tags are a searchable discriptive word that you can associate with anything, a picture, an mp3 song, and in this case a thread. For instance you could tag this thread with "Exit" or "Exiting the XLR". It just gives another method of finding what someone is looking for. Ben.

The New WC - AKA Wives Club

I like the new digs! Hey all, I heard from the Chad, Tim and Robert that you had found a new home. I must say I like it! Thanks for getting me up to speed, I have indeed been rather busy recently. Marie and I will be married on Valentine's Day and we are learning the truth about weddings...
