You got it Cubby; we'll leave by 6am, should be there between 8:00-8:15. Thanks for the heads up on "authorities". I don't have any Longs up by me. :(
Cubby - You are brilliant! I'm aware of the "child car seat" locking mechanism, never would have thought of that as his problem in the XLR. Whenever I read threads like this, it just reinforces my love of this forum community. Its great how we can help one another out like this. Good call...
That makes a lot of sense (from what I have read on Strut grills onlilne). Doesn't look like much of a quality difference. I have heard good things about the quality of the E&G grills. IMHO - save your money - go with the E&G Grill.
I saw a clip on the ELR - it indicated about 325 miles full range (about 35 miles all-electric range, balance including the small engine - charging the battery while running). Not a very big range for an electric car. I saw that they are calling it a "hybrid" - I think because of the engine in...
The 2009 has a different Front Bumper cover - it is not the same as the 2006. I'm not sure if an '09 would fit on your 2006.
The main difference is the Fog Lights (and surrounding area) and the lower grill area.
Cubby - once Bob picks a time/place to meet - let me know what time you will be heading down, Devin and I can meet up with you and head down to Champaign in your tailwind.

Welcome to the BEST XLR forum on the net! I'm sure you will get tons of information about your new XLR (new to you) here. This forum is full of wonderful XLR Lovers who love to share information about the car - ANY information. No question is too small or silly - we've heard 'em all. :) If...
Hey Bob - It looks like Devin and I will be heading down there on Saturday. With it being at month end -I cannot go down on Friday. Would love to hook up with you. Anyone else interested?
We plan on leaving early Saturday AM. We can work out details as time gets closer. Looking forward to...
C7 is a soft top. Goes down/up in 21 seconds.
I have the same concern when at a stoplight - I am looking around at all the traffic, trying to calculate if I have enough time to put the top down... once I start the process, then that dang top can't cycle fast enough
The only advantage of...
I keep a "scarf" in my glovebox, whenever Cindy rides with me. ;)
... but now that my hair is getting longer (no buzz cut now) - maybe I'll need it. :chuckle (OK - I mean a HAT)
