At the bottom of the inside back cover of the 2008 XLR Sales Brochure is a description of Premium Care. Compliments of Cadillac. It says: "As a new XLR or XLR-V owner, you are entitled to complimentary maintenance visits, scheduled regularly for the first four years or...
Goodyear Eagle rs-a. Emt. P235/50zr18 Run flat OEM tires.
I approached my Cadillac service manager about whether he would put tires that I got from Tire Rack on the car as the savings were significant compared to the dealership's price. He said they would match the price - just document the web...

I took 3 photos of my '07. Wiring at the hinge coming from the light. The connector that it feeds to and the 2 wire pairs coming off the wiring harness between the brake lines. 1 goes to the low brake fluid sensor page 5-138 #(3); the other goes to the light.
Back in the Garage
My 3rd winter here in Northern Ohio with the XLR and I never expected to be driving it as much as I have this year. The past 2 years the CTS with the winter tires got all the use and the XLR stayed warm in the garage except for brief drives when all conditions were good...
I had the trunk lid hang up in the air, same type of performance on my 2007 - here is what was found from my July 2010 post:
From the Cadillac service note: " ...found folding to position sensor not agreeing when in position. Sensor faulty. (Service writer told me it was a potentiometer. Makes...

I was watching HGTV with my daughter and her husband on Thanksgiving evening when the HGTV show aired. Really unique homes and as they were touring the ground floor the show's host stated: there is a really steep driveway so to make it easier to exit, the owner installed...

I've had the trunk open by itself several times on my 07 XLR over the past 20 months that I've had it. The first time was in Jan 2010 right after I got the car. I walked out of work and there was the trunk lid in the air. After 2 days the dealership couldn't find a problem. I believe it happened...

There's never a free lunch. There's a reason why it is being offered and we don't know what it is. I don't know what the fine print is and I got the same offer.
Last year State Farm offered the new Safe & Save Program that was linked to having an OnStar Subscription. Let me quote the last...
Bruce, can you tell me what the sealed item under the seats is in the photos I took? Is it the thermoelectric module? If not, where is the TE located? I noticed that the sealed whatever rubs along the carpet as the seat moves forward. Thanks.
In January 2009 I started looking and asking about the XLR. I asked about a used XLR coming off lease. The sales rep I had purchased several cars from pulled up the recent GM auction results and I could see the year/price/mileage/color of what had been sold and what was up for auction. In late...
My 2007 (Nov 2006 build) has just a hole. Adding my 2cents - wires and connectors were hanging down in the box. I added a cable tie to raise the wires up and taped the cable tie to the metal of the trunk. Please see the picture. The hole is at the top right, slightly under a 1/4" in diameter...
