Only way to get a replacement is to pay the big bucks and buy one used. As Long Tall Sally indicated they are around two grand each so I wouldn't suggest experimenting if you are not completely confident in making the repairs yourself. Gary

Does the outside handle release the door ok? how about the emergency lever on the floor? If both of those work then it sounds like you may have a bad release button. My wife's CTS coupe had the same issue and we had to replace the button in the door. Dealer only part unfortunately. Gary

The GDO is usually wired in for power and ground. A non GDO visor will physically bolt in place but may have a different connector on the wiring. It will work fine in place of the original one but you don't want to eliminate the wiring as it will feed the vanity mirror as well. Gary

The heat and peel method usually works well...just remember that this era of GM clearcoats are notoriously soft so make sure if you are going to use any tools that they are plastic. Go easy on the heat as well, use only enough to get the peeling started. Gary.

I was using an online manual...but I can tell you that my wife's 2012 CTS coupe that has the exact same door mechanisms right down to the push buttons and emergency releases...the doors will unlock while in drive to let someone out and then re-lock when you start moving again. Gary

Just my $.02...but aftermarket wheels will almost never be as smooth and durable as the OEM variety. If they can, maybe they have a corvette with factory wheels that they can swap on to prove the theory of wheels/tires. Driveline vibrations are pretty rare since the rotating mass is so small...
