I have never had the ON Star hooked up in my 2004 XLR. Is this year XLR equipped with hands free phone through the On Star? How many of you have On Star hooked up in your cars?
I see the contest that GM is running push the On Star button and enter to win a new car of your choice.
Thanks for the help. The reason I asked about the covers a friend sent me some photos of his Pontiac G8 that he installed them on. They looked good on his car.
I have a question I notice when I fill this car up and drive around town say 50 miles the gas gauge is down to 3/4. Does your XLR do this? My 04 Vette doesn't go down that quick?
I just had a 04 Vette at work that needed 4 tires and it had chrome valve caps on it. One of them rusted fast to the valve stem and I had to replace a valve sensor.
I am going to rotated the tires on my 04 XLR how do I reprogam the sensors to read the correct position. On the C5 Corvettes that I have owned you can go into tire sensor learning on the DIC and do it with a donut magnet.
I agree with XLRJIM these cars do stupid things when the battery is going bad. I had the traction control/abs message with mine and I had a bad body control module. Take it to Cadillac and get it scan.
I do most of the work on my XLR. Anything that needs to be done at the dealer I also take my XLR to my local Chevrolet dealer. They have some very good Corvette techs who have worked on my car.
I am going to put one on my 04. I am a long time Corvette owner and use to how the Vette feels. The first thing I noticed about the XLR was it didn't take the turns like my Vette.
The frame pucks go into the slots under the rocker panels. The cups on the lift fit into the bottom of the pucks and this is the safe way to lift either an XLR or a 1997-2011 Corvette.
Without these pucks you run the risk of breaking the rocker panels. Many Corvette owners have had damage...
