Thanks for the reply John. Many sites have it listed like it is still available and when I order it they come back with saying it is not available anymore. I even had a few search the national database of parts. I think my only hope is finding one used.

Hello, I am in need of a top position sensor for the roof Part number 88956589. I guess GM stopped making this part and now my roof or trunk will not work. Please help!
