I'm considering putting a custom dash mat on my 09 XLR. 2 reasons: Protection of the dash material, and reduce glare from the dash onto the windshield. I installed a "dash cam" to my car and the glare impacts the videos.
Has anyone put a custom "dash mat" on their XLR? If so, what brand did...

Great product. Looks great and works perfectly with CarPlay. It did require replacing the center dash bezel (they all do) but the black one looks fine in the car. I did not do it myself. I had it done by the professionals. All in...
I bought an extra key-fob for my 2009 XLR and I'm having trouble programming it to my car. I do own and have fobs 1 and 2 that work. The new fob is a new GM product, number 25926473, which I understand to be fob #1. I followed the instructions documented in many places (see below) and get to...
I decided to upgrade the radio/navigation system in my 2009 XLR. With no current maps available, and no interface with newer services (like Apple CarPlay,) I decided to bring the navigation/entertainment system into the 21th century!
Yesterday, I had a Kenwood DMX957XR system installed. It...
I can't see where/how to remove this request. I no longer need the nav disc because I decided to get a new, aftermarket radio/entertainment system. I really wanted to get an Apple CarPlay interface, which will allow me to use the Apple (or Google) map system. I have that same functionality in...
When I bought my 2009 XLR a month or so ago, it had the Eastern US Navigation disc in the player. I live in the western USA. I know these maps are quite dated and have limited use. Still, I would like to see my local POI. Anyone have a western US disc they are willing to part with? Or...
Thanks. My XLR is so nice I just had the plastic shield/invisible bra put on the whole front end. Worthwhile investment as I plan to keep her for a while.
The C5 you saw in one of my pictures is the 2003 50th Anniversary convertible. That's actually a car I gave my daughter about 10 years ago...
Wow! Quite an expensive adventure. As a new owner of a 2009 XLR, I sure hope I don't have a 10th of your issues. (And I do know that "hope" is not a good strategy!) My XLR only has 20k miles so I'm starting at a different point. However, I will take note of your issues. Enjoy your truck!
I agree with you completely. A minor leak of a 15 year old car would not normally concern me. It's a bit of a test of my warranty. If they say no, I'm likley to just leave it alone. If they agree to fix it, I'm fortunate to have a local dealer with experience with these XLRs.
