    Help! LED Light Questions

Lighting Issues While at the GM Dealer (Ontario Canada) getting my Antifreeze Replaced and Oil changed I asked the mechanic about brighter front lighting. He said a guy had recently replaced 'some' front end bulbs, melted the head light and GM was unable to get him another one. They have an...

    Tire wear

It is usually the Driver, not the car that is rough on tires. Inflation and Alignment are critical factors. Next is the Right Foot.

    Wind Buffeting...good grief!!!

Backdraft Mitigation I believe this fabric screen is from GM. A very secure fit with 3 straps per side. I don't like it at night, especially with the dark Tinted rear window. No headlight glare though. At cruising speeds I sometimes have windows up even with the top of Rear View door mirrors...

    Question about the climate control

Temperature Display After looking through the 4 Volumes (over 800 pages) I went into the garage and looked at my display. If you look carefully there is a small decimal point after the first 2 larger numbers. They are indeed a .0°and .5°C indicators after those numbers.

    Corsa Installed

Anti-Sway Bar with Corsa Here is a photo of my A-S Bar installation and also of my formed and electro polished SS 'Splitter Guard'. I had to get 2 additional bolts ($14) for bar/clamp attachment. Ordered from GM. The A-S Bar is tubular, not solid. No Corsa interference. Used an anti-seize...

    Corsa Installed

Rear Anti-Sway Bar with Corsa exhaust. I ordered mine from GM. I was surprized to find they are tubular, not solid bar. Links are not adjustable. You will need to go for a rear alignment when the job is completed. Things move! Attach links to bar first. I tried to attach a photo. That...

Newbie rebuilding a Xenon Blue '05

XLR Survivor My used 2008 XLR came with the Z-06 Wheels. I am not sure if they are replicas or not but I love the look. You and your Bodyshop have done an amazing job on that car. I had considered installing a Shale Interior but after seeing those photos, I got over it in a hurry! Well Done.

    Trunk lid bushing

Thanks to those who provided the info on this. I ordered a pair and they are now installed. Even the new ones seem a little mushy. I have access to an Industrial rubber lining shop and may have my old studs redone with higher durometer rubber. Measurements were recorded of the new Bumpers...

    Who has Lloyd's mats?

Floor Mats It is difficult to see from the photos, but does the drivers side mat have the 2 grommets for the hooks to keep the mat from moving forward?

    Speedometer and HUD

While on tour today with top down and AC on (nice to have cooled seats) I noticed that the dash Speedometer was in MPH and the HUD was in Metric! I liked that setup, living in Canada. When I restarted the car, both systems were in MPH. No idea how that happened although I had been pressing...

I checked with Miller Auto Recycle this morning. Sadly the vehicle has been scrapped!!! I called again later today and was told the trunk lid was sold for $300. No other parts or interior available. I was told it was scrapped a year ago.

What happened to Beauty's tranny (pictures to follow)

Wow. Apparently it at the Tranny end that the cable grommet broke. I am sure a brass bushing could be machined and attached to replace the plastic. Sad that it was cheaped up to save a few cents. Thanks for the photos. Ordering a spare next week.

    shifter cable

I was thinking the same thing. Problem is that they were likely produced 6-10 years ago so the plastic will age in any event, although perhaps not exposed to as much heat. Possibly the ends can be modified. Keep the broken ones guys and send in a photo of the problem please.

Proud XLR owner with a problem

I have had a battery in a New GM Blazer die in 6 months. Keep your eye on the Volt meter. Your dealer should have checked its' output. An often overlooked problem is a bad ground connection. High resistance can cause charging problems but starting amperage can overcome the resistance. You...

    Warning! Emergency Door Handles.

In view of the recent deaths of a man and his dog trapped inside a Corvette, I think it is important that we make passengers aware of the emergency door latch mechanism location. Everyone know about it? Apparently it has happened on other vette's, even a low battery in the key fob can...
