I was looking at a 2006 at a dealer in Leesburg Fl online and I noticed in one of their pictures there was a message.....I asked about it and the sales mgr said the adaptive headlights were converted to fixed, and this message would not be fixed or repaired to original for a buyer....what yr...
So as I read this, if you end up with this problem, these are the possible fixes
Take it to the dealer, they remove the engine and replace and you get a second mortgage to pay
Order Magnaflow replacements(includes the exhaust manifold and cat) and either you or a shop installs
Have a shop cut...
When owners on here say they replaced the stock exhaust with Corsa, do they mean just the exhaust including mufflers but NOT the exhaust manifolds that I guess house the cat. converter.....this is different for me as the only cat. converter I have seed is withn the exhaust system....sounds like...
James....with your 2007 did you change out your front amber turn signal bulbs to led?....just curious about that if you noticed any melting or is that and earlier model issue.......Today I did purchase a 2007. I am having them throw in a new battery as the one in there is 6 yrs old and I have a...
Doing more reading, it looks like the amber signal light is the problem...and at a mimimum I would think be replaced by a led light...I see where some guy in Canada actually restores headlights....at a reasonable price....maybe thats the end of my research on this problem...I'm ok with the shock...
Can someone give me a headlight replacement update...I have gone thru pages of comments here and do appreciate the efforts to resolve....couple of questions:
Has anyone come up with a complete assembly replacement? Are the junkyard prices still 2-5k per side
If melting from heat has happened...
Thats a nice looking 2005.....without causing a ruckus here, do you feel the negative talk about the earlier models is justified?.....thanks for the picture...
Great thread....I noticed this seems to relate to 2005 and 2004 models....is the configeration the same for 2006 and later models and has anyone done this to later yrs....thanks
I did find alot of answers in a May 3 post.....should I buy a 2008 with high mileage or a 2004-5 with low mileage same price.......alot of good responses in that post...thanks....If I coud delete my orig. post I would to not take up space...thanks
I did a search on here but didn't find my answer....I am curious specifically why people say the later yrs are better...Can someone layout the reasons why....I read where the top mechanism is more of an issue in 2004-2005...are there electrical issues or other items to be aware of with the...
I wonder if the XLR is physically smaller than the Allante....from looking at pictures the cockpit area looks tight...in my 93 Allante I have a storage area behind the seat....and all kinds of leg room and headroom with the top up....we're in Florida in March....I know I will find them down...
Is that kind of tight for you?....I would be somewhat concerned about that...my 93 Allante has all kinds of room....without the seat all the way back....this would be a just for fun car but comfort should be high on my list....I need to go find one to sit in before I spend too much time...
I am 6ft 2 and I am wondering about legroom and headroom issues.....I live in a rural area so it isn't easy to just walk into some dealership and sit in one....getting ahead of myself ....a guy 7hrs from me wants 25k for a 2008 with 50k miles on it....new tires and battery and he says no marks...
Craig here.....I have owned a 1993 Allante for the past 15 yrs....think I'm ready to move on and I am checking out these Beauty's.....after reading and researching, I think I would be looking at a 2008 or 09 or maybe a 2007....nice site by the way
