Vacuum Leaks
Did you try tightening up the intake manifold bolts? The normally aspirated Northstar is famous for the bolts loosening due to the plastic intake manifold compressing and allowing air to bypass into individual cylinders which would not exhibit the same problem as a bad or loose...
Just replace the DRLs with LEDs now before any damage is visible and you are good to go. It's the heat generated from the incandescent bulbs that cause the lens to turn yellow and melt. LEDs produce minimal heat and look better anyway.
Just placed my order for two shirts. Hopefully we will see you at the club meeting on May 7 and you can just drop them off. If not, just hold onto them until we can see you at one of the meetings in Houston.
Corvette LS motor sway
Thinking about this more, I believe a LS motor would be a much better choice, larger displacement, more horsepower, more parts and accessories and probably a easier fit. It's actually smaller on the top without the big DOHC heads and supercharger so the hood could remain...
Two Allantes and one XLR attended and we had a great time Sunday driving out US290 to Chappell Hill for the bluebonnet festival and then on to Roundtop for a stop before returning home. We didn't see as many bluebonnets (or Allantes) as in the past, but did get some pictures.
Sounds like a fun project, but the worse part of a conversion like this is that you will go for months without being able to drive your XLR! Seriously, the difference in price between a base and a V on the market today would probably be less than $10k and you would be right back on the road...

Here is the latest from the Houston Allante' XLR Club. Any XLR owners out there that can join us?
Dear South-Central Texas Allante-XLR Aficionados - SAVE THE DATE – Annual Chappell Hill & Round Top Texas Bluebonnet Photo Drive - Next Sunday, April 10th...
I missed the fact that there will be a meeting in May, but it will be on Saturday May 7th instead of the usual Sunday due to Mother's day being on that Sunday. I'll put that on my calendar. It would be great if we could have several XLRs show up. There are usually about 8-10 Allante' owners...
That would be great Richard. The next meet at Cafe Express isn't until June 12th so it's a way off unless you could make the Bluebonnet Run with us on April 10th. There are other XLR owners in Houston that have expressed interest in a local club and the these guys are interested in having XLR...
The local Houston Allante group is welcoming XLR owners to join in on their activities.

For complete 2016 meeting...

If you watch closely you can see the Nissan GTR hit the back of a Porsche and spin him off the track. The Porsche won the race on Saturday and wound up wrecked after being hit from behind by the...
Cadillac at the Pirelli World Challenge at COTA in Austin
We just got back from the Pirelli World Challenge event in Austin last weekend and Cadillac did a great job hosting over one hundred "V" owners this year. Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is one incredible track and facility celebrating...
Steve, I just attended the PWC with Cadillac in Austin and had a blast. They had a lot of things for us to do other than just watch the race. Hopefully they will offer some of them in St. Petersburg. Just brush up on Cadillac trivia and backgrounds on Johnny O'Connell and Michael Cooper in...
I believe BF Goodrich are owned by Michelin and although I have not tried BF Goodrich tires, I have to believe that some of Michelin's technology goes into the BF Goodrich product which can't be all bad!
Your car looks absolutely amazing and that is just from the pictures you posted. I'm sure it looks even better in person. I have been using Zaino for years, but just apply it by hand. I notice that the finish has a lot of swirls. Afraid to put a rotary polisher on it, but you may have...
