    Mesh Grille Technical Impacts

Thanks for the replies. I was suspect due to the fact the Service message comes on when I start the car, not when its moving. They say there is a GM bulletin, which I've yet to see that warns about the cruise control and the air flow problem. They wanted to replace my grille with the original...

    Mesh Grille Technical Impacts

I know that upper and lower mesh grilles on an XLR result in the loss of cruise control, but now I'm being told it also impacts the air flow causing the computer to throw codes, usually resulting in the Service Engine Soon light randomly coming on... has anyone else seen this? My mechanic says...

    The Weather Channel

Here in DC, back at work :( Finally finished digging out, got to back my beauty out of the garage :) but that the longest trip she'll be making for a while  Nothing but snow and ice on most of the secondary roads, and too many crazies driving around Virginia, she'll remain safe and warm...

    The Weather Channel

Lola's Mom is right that's what football is for, after 20 inches of snow I spent yesterday and this morning digging out. This afternoon was a heating pad on my back, a couple of beers and lots of football... all is OK now, thanks for asking. Just heard the Federal Govt is closed tomorrow, so DC...

Here's the DC area, Rudolph my wife's SUV is grounded, my baby is safely in the garage behind her. This was at 8 am, its still snowing!

    The Weather Channel

A foot of snow and its still coming down hard here in the DC/North VA area. Looks the the XLR is banished to the garage for a while. Come to think of it, I'll probably be stuck for a while as well.

    The Evil Engine Light

Hopefully - Final story to recurring light and DIC message... After 4th trip to dealership, replace throttle body, replace Mass Air sensor, reprogram PCM, replace throttle body again with new model... all resulting in "service engine soon" or engine light coming back... A new issue was...

    Show Your Vanity (tags)...

Virginia charges 10/year for the personalized letter combo and another 10 for any customized plates, above the normal registration fee... A bargain from what I've seen in other states

    The Evil Engine Light

The Dealer just called and said the magic 8 ball says throttle body... well, not exactly. Although they replaced it in May of this year, they said they now have a new and improved model? (can I get a confirmation from our resident techs) In any case, due to the holiday I won't get her back...

    The Evil Engine Light

Latest Update. Of course light did not come on when they started car. History codes are P1101 and P0068. The dealer has not suggested any remedy yet... at this point I picture them shaking the ole magic 8 ball and waiting for the answer.

    The Evil Engine Light

Thanks for the info. Did replace the battery several months back. Have a Corsa exhaust, but that hasn't changed, problem existed before and after that installation. It's in the shop again, so I'll get the code readouts from them, but from I've seen in the past, it the same list that I've seen...

    The Evil Engine Light

Have a 2005 XLR with 30K and it's back again. Sometimes the Service Engine Soon in the DIC, or the Engine Light glowing for a day or two then disappearing. The car runs just fine (as far as I can see and feel) but keeps throwing codes. I've read through the posts here and have run out of...

I don't think even beer can make that one better... Ouch, salt water, that must be good for the computers and electronic systems.. :pat:

    East Coast Performance Company?

Thanks for the info. Funny, I've used Lindsay to service my XLR twice, but the Service reps were not that knowledgeable. Other than maintenance and minor repairs, they haven't diagnosed any of the problems I've had. The complex issues were resolved by me feeding them TSB info I got from this...

    East Coast Performance Company?

I've seen many references to D3 Cadillac and Lund as XLR performance companies, are there any East Coast facilities anyone knows about? Or does D3 or Lund have someone they work with on this side of the country? I love driving my car, but that's quite a trip to enhance it.
