Low fluid could mean a leak.
If there is no low fluid, if you hold the button to raise the top too long and it's not working right it can overheat.
But the problem could be fixed with something as simple as the top-relearn they can do with the Tech-2 at the dealership. These cars are all...
Thanks for your input guys! It's some of what I read in Corvette forums. For everyone that has success there are others that say it just delays the heat after doing those tunnel plate mods.
I can verify, after about 8 to 10 hours of driving, it can get very toasty. It seems to also depend on...
So I've done a bunch of research into the "center tunnel burns my leg off" problem.
I have a 2004, and was reading the C7 uses something called aerogel. "NASA Space Age ultra material" or something like that.
So I looked around and found this.

Ok, what a pain. Magnaflow sent the wrong size bolts. Now I wonder if the mounting holes in the manifold will be too big and the manifold won't center very well on the heads? I know the new manifold gasket has flanges on both sides, maybe that will line them up enough if I'm careful? :(
Still...
If I get 4 years out of a battery, I'm SUPER happy.
With my XLR, I'll be replacing it every 3 years regardless.
Nothing worse then having a battery fail when you're having fun.
It might cost me $20-$40 more every 3 years to do it but well worth the safety.
Try Techron (cheap at Walmart). Real chemistry in that. Follow the instructions, run your tanks almost empty then put it in and fill your tank.
Do a couple tank fulls. Helped one person at least, but yours really sounds like it's broken.
They certainly aren't as nice and clean as the pictures. lol
So, there aren't springs in between these studs, just the studs.
Here's what I've done so far.
I got all the bolts off the heat shields. I'm moving the heat shields around to get to the manifold bolts/nuts.
I've loosened the right...
I'm installing the Magnaflow exhaust manifolds/cats and can't find the part number for these studs that go in the end of the manifold and have springs on them between the exhaust manifold and the intermediate exhaust pipe.
Any part numbers for the studs, the springs, and the nuts would be...
Mickey, do you think that's a professional way to act toward your potential clients?
Seriously, if you plan on selling stuff to us, "laughing at people buying used ones with burnt out leds, cracks" won't really endear you toward people, don't you think?
If berating the people you sell to was...
