So my trunk lid started a while back, opening about 4 inches then slamming shut again. Than it would open. Got worse, it would take 6 or 7 tries before it would open.
I replaced the trunk latch the other day (available from GM for about $350 or rockauto)
And it fixed the issue.
Not too hard...
FYI, this is not a plug and play installation. You may have a very hard time finding an installer for it. Search for a thread APP Radio and there is detailed info on this.
I could no longer find matching sets of run flats for the V. I have run same as rear on all four corners for a while. I would occasionally get an error but not often. I have been running non-run flats for years now in original sizes without issue.
Welcome, I also have an 07 V. Black with cashmere interior. I drive mine a lot, like 30,000 miles a year. I love driving it. More fun than looking at it in the garage.
I got a Wi-Fi adapter that plugs in under the dash and connect my iPhone using Dash Commander app. You can read and clear codes with it along with reading many gauges.
Back off the nut and hit it with a hammer.
Unbolt the two bolts at the top A arm to allow the rest of the suspension to swing out of the way. Put a floor jack under it first to allow you to take the spring pressure off after you unbolt it.
