It is hard to say what you mean by "rough". As I drive down the highway with no bumps, the drive is smooth. If I hit a bump I definitely feel it. I think that everyone is that way. You should also check out some of the videos in this forum about the XLR. Motor Trend has one about the XLR-V...
Mark,
Thank you! This was extremely helpful. The trunk did the same thing again last night. Only this time cycling the valet switch did not work. :dunno:
Took it to the dealer today before I saw your response The dealer first said that the trunk struts were worn and needed to be replaced...
Have you tried putting another hole in the mat yourself? You may be able to start a small hole with a pair of sissors then push the restraining pen through. You would have to be careful so that you could retain the astetic look of the mats.
Another thing you could try is to place some velcro...
Guys, as a follow-up the car is no longer having the lag. Perhaps it was some bad fuel (I would have said bad gas, but who hasn't had that :squint:). However, the car is performing well. Lot's of power and no lag.
Yeah, I was wondering when that was going to happen. The forced obsolecense of our XLR. It starts by discontinuing parts that are not routinely ordered and then goes from there. The 04 is nine years old and unless there are many common parts with the 09's then the parts are going to be more...
What! Okay, we are just going to have to keep a much closer watch on you guys. This guy and his guard dog have volunteered for the assignment.
If you see them don't be alarmed and yes, they are watching you.
That is pretty bad!
Wait a minute! You mean that your XLR didn't come with two pairs of these:
and
or at least two pair of these for you and your companion/partner?!? :chuckle
I heard that they came standard on all early 04's and capable of withstanding at upto 200 degrees F...
Absolutely! In very heavy traffic the ACC is not advisable. However, if you are cruising on an un-crowded highway either crack at the of dawn on a Sunday morning in California or crusing from Chicago to Davenport Iowa on I-80 it is great!
Last Saturday was the first time in a long time that I was able to take the XLR on a long trip. Since I am in Davenport, Iowa now and have family in Chicago, Illinois I drove over to visit them and also avail myself of what the city had to offer. I stayed overnight and in the morning drove...
Wow, I'll bet that made for some really hot coffee! Yikes!:willy_nilly:
You know, on some of the newer cars they have this feature only they also have cooling. Cadillac was truely visionary and ahead of it's time because they incorporated it first. Even though it is scalding hot and always...
Very nice!
I can definitely see that your story is plausible, but I have to stick with Special Agents "M" and "S" on this one.
Also Special Agents "M" and "S" said to watch out for this guy. He did not like that any of this information came out (both yours and mine)!
He may also be joined...
Everyone,
I was talking to government sources at the FBI's X-Files division and the original concept was not the Evoq or the Cien!! Those were just concepts promoted to lead you away from the truth!
The original concept for the XLR was actually developed in secret by the government in...
No, he means the Ciel (which is french for sky). I saw this at the 2011 Los Angeles autoshow. It is much more impressive in the video than in reality. Cadillac decided not to build it because they though it did not have enough brand appeal. After seeing it in person I agree. I also did not like...
