I just sent my grille to the chrome shop, no way I'm covering it up :) I've seen several cars here around L.A. including some high end exotic ones done in the matte black. I think it looks good on certain cars, I think the XLR would look pretty mean in it.

Yes, they stick out in the rear about a 1/2". But, I rather have them stick out a little then rubbing the inside fenderwells everytime I go into a turn. You could probably get away with a 40mm offset in the rear as well as the front but, it might start rubbing in corners. wheel and tire combo...
I use the plug kits also, but if it's too hot outside they slide back out sometimes. I had repaired my lincoln mark VIII with one of the cemented in plugs and it was too hot outside and the plug popped back out. But, I would prefer the plug to the slime, but it depends on the temperature. Iused...
