    Battery Tender

Yes, the battery will go dead. I brought a used 06 XLR in August which was two and a half years old (22,000 m.). The service records show that the battery was replaced twice in the first two and a half years of use. The mechanics I spoke to said that this is common if a car lays idle for long...

    Extended Warranty

Then AAA is usually the best way to go. I don't think I would trust any other company.

    Extended Warranty

I purchased my 06 XLR, in August, used from the Caddy dealer who sold it originally in 06. The factory warrantee is still good until December 09, but I still purchased a Cadillac extended warrantee (bumper to bumper) to 100,000 miles. I would not recommend a 3rd party insurer. When I go to the...

    XLR-V vs XLR

I didn't know that!! For some reason I thought the V had a manual option. Thanks for the info. Now, the only option I have left is a vette. Just kidding!:chuckle

    XLR-V vs XLR

If I found the right V with a manual transmission, I would trade my 06 in for it. The manual mode on the automatic is fun but it's not a stick.

    XLR-V vs XLR

Has anyone gone from the automatic XLR to a manual XLR-V?? If so, is it something worth doing:cool:? I have an 06 XLR as a third car , so I wouldn't mind tooling around in a V on weekends using a stickshift.

    Considering a SRX

I love the new look of the 2010, but I haven't check it out in person, yet. My current lease is up in June of 2011, (two NY winter's away):patriot: so I have lots of time to decide.

    Considering a SRX

I had an 2005 SRX, 6 with third row seating, on a 3 year lease. It's was a great SUV with plenty of power. We took weekly trips to our ski house up in Vermont and never had a problem in the snow. In fact it was more sure footed than any other SUV I have ever owned. Turned it in for a CTS/4...

    Nick in paint on top

My problem came from that exact spot. The black paint on the edge of the bracket was worn away from rubbing on the roof panel. After the roof was repainted the dealer lined the edges with a plastic strip. I like you fix better . Paul

    Rear swaybar parts list '04-'09

It looks good. The dealer charged me $98.00 (one hour for labor) to install the sway bar. Did you have to torque the bolts to a specific spec??

    Help! AM Reception Problem

If you are interested in the news and sports in the NY city area you listen to AM radio (not all day). FM is primarily for music, and I'd rather listen to the sound of my engine than music.

    Help! AM Reception Problem

I'd hate to install an exterior antenna on that body. Have you tried your hidden antenna on AM and if so, how does it work?

    Help! AM Reception Problem

Has AM radio reception been a problem with the XLR? I am about 60 miles from the city so I understand that the signal will not be the best. But, my CTS and Audi convertible both do OK. The XLR is hardly audible. I bought the car used in August and it's still un warrantee.

    Rear swaybar parts list '04-'09

Swaybar Just had my dealer install a rear sway bar on my 06, and felt the difference right away. The ride is the same but the back end is a lot more stable. Thanks for the parts list.

    Help! Engine Air Cleaner

Thanks for the advise. I did buy the K&N cleaner kit. I'll make sure I'm careful with the oil.
