Yeah that's going to cost thousands upon thousands. No way in hell is that worth doing vs just taking a hit on the sale value for damage that isn't in plain view.
Oh well, can't win 'em all.
Oog. That doesn't bode well, then. Probably not worth the effort I guess, I'm just trying to get it ready for sale and the damage is mostly out of sight anyway (underside of the fender, behind the passenger front wheel) so maybe it won't affect the trade-in or sale price too horribly...
I've potentially located a part that I'd like to purchase but cannot personally inspect and compare to my car. A friend is willing to go check it out but I'd like to make sure that it's the correct paint code because silver or grey is notoriously hard to photograph and display accurately. GM...
I can't say for sure but I'd say the coil pack is worth a look. Not ridiculously expensive and took about 10 minutes total to install. You can unplug the coil for cylinder #6 before you order and if you don't see any change, it's pretty strong evidence that it's an ignition issue.
Keep in mind...
Update: Installing the coil pack fixed it! It was indeed the passenger side bank. I tested by unplugging the coil for the #7 cylinder and saw no change, so swapped the pack and my #7 cylinder lives again!
Hey all, this morning my '05 with 51,000 miles decided to act up and start shaking a bit when I left my house. Thought it was a bit weird, but no CEL so decided to go a mile or two and see what happens. Once I gave it a decent bit of throttle to overtake, the check engine light blinked at me...
What colour body and interior? Might be interested in floor mats, driver side seat control bezel if they're shale. If it's a satin nickel (I think… would have to double check since I mix up with platinum all the time) exterior by any chance, I'd also be keen on the passenger side mirror...
I lost my primary keychain and am going to have that fob deauthorized in case someone in my neighbourhood found it and decided to keep it. In the event that it turns up later, can I re-add it, or does it become a paperweight? Not too concerned either way, just curious.
Also, if I...
It appears the previous owner of my car ran something over at some point, and there's a hole on the bottom of the passenger fender on the underside, about the size of a child's palm, with a crack as well. I only noticed it by chance when I was picking up something I dropped and went "Wait...
I think the only potential weirdness as far as I can find is the control of the amp from the GMOS-06. As long as that's happening, we should be good. If it's not, that's gonna be interesting.
now that I'm posting, though, I wonder what that TR7 trigger in al_jazz' car is being used for…
So none of the connectors that were plugged into the CD changer get connected? That's almost certainly where the problem is. From the wiring diagram, all of the audio outputs actually come from the changer instead of the 32pin connector that goes into the radio. So if my understanding is...
Hm, interesting.
Are you able to share the GMOS-06 diagram and pics of the connectors? I'm happy to double-check from here as much as I can, since this benefits us all!
