I am new to the forum and have purchased a beautiful 2004 XLR, but now going through a large learning curve. When we 1st purchased the car, we had no issues with the top retracting or closing. Within a couple weeks the top would go down just fine, but when closing the top it would stop when trying to close from stored position. I would need to close manual and get everything back to home. Now the top starts to go into its retract mode, but once top unlocks, that’s where everything stops and I need to close everything back up manually. I’ve done a lot of reading and also know the previous owner had all hydraulics replaced a couple years ago, so I’m going with the assumption it’s electrical issue. Everything I read, it sounds like the GM Tech2 would be a tool that I will need to troubleshoot and possibly relearn the top. I’m now trying to figure out what items I need to order with the scanner. It looks like it calls out a memory card? And also GM Software card? Would appreciate any advice on what I should purchase
