Help!! Trunk and top

I just got my 2005 xlr and love the car. However after only having it only a week my trunk will not open and the top got stuck half open. I got it up by hand but now the trunk will not open and I am afraid to open the trunk or try to put the top down.
Anyone having same problem or can advise me what to do. Thanks Dale H

Has similar problem, but occurred when the warning light "top not secure" came on. Tried to cycle the top and down but the trunk got stuck up. Couldn't put it down or top up, open hydraulic vale, truck went down but trunk wouldn't open. Took to dealer and they replaced the battery and all works well now.

From my experiences, the top and trunk get "confused" sometimes and this is the results. Most of the time a relearn using a TECH II can fix this problem. Unfortunately, you'll have to go to the Caddy dealer, a shop that has a TECHII or know someone that has one. I paid 150$ for it before I bought my own TECH II
