I am looking to purchase the 4 book set of shop manuals for my 2006 XLR. I have yet to find any for my year however I have found some form later years particularly 2008. Will that be a problem when using these to service my 2006?

No you don't have to pay. Just go down to the bottom of the page where it says "post new thread"

I too am new to this but if I go to Forums. Then Click General or Technical Discussion. Just above where it says Forum:Cadillac XLR Technical Discussion.....there should be a "Post New Thread" tab. If not I would go to the bottom right of the page and check out your permissions.
