I had the compressor in my '07 V replaced under extended warranty 3 years ago at around 37 thousand mi. No indication of trouble until driving one day when the compressor suddenly started making a (very) loud screech. As I recall, the noise stopped when the climate control was turned to "Off"...
Bonsoir Ian. Congratulations on your XLR! And nice to see you on this Forum. Also, believe me, as an Anglophone member from North of the border, if I could write en Francais as well as you can in English, I would feel proud!
Rob: There was an earlier thread on this, started 12-29-2013, re 2007 XLR interiors. My 2007 V came with a copy of the factory- to- dealer invoice showing the interior color as being "cashmere with ebony accents" (and a code of "313";as I mentioned in my reply then, three numbers instead of...
There was thread some time ago dealing with the issue of interior colors. As I posted there, I have a copy of what appears to be the typed factory to dealer invoice for my '07 V; it shows the interior as "cashmere with ebony accents" and gives the code for that as "313". (The use of the three...
Interesting. In the figures originally shown here for the '07 Vs, as I recall it showed 16 total: 10 Xenon(Lemans)/Ebony; 6 Xenon(Lemans)/Cashmere(Shale). I have one of the latter. I too would be interested in knowing the correct figures.
Re the 'not GM' Retractables, by coincidence I was posting to another thread yesterday and including a link to a show-car collection of a friend here. He has one of each of the three years these were manufactured, '57, '58 and '59; you can see some photos of two of them at...
As for the weeds in my so-called "lawn", here in the freezing North we'll take whatever grows green! And yes, Vernon's toys are nice (and then some!).:chuckle
Re the shoes, I'm so glad you like them;I ALWAYS dress up when I am preparing a post on the Forum. Re the bricks, I will send you one if you will pay the expedited postage! However, I confess that I am devastated that no one admired the chunk of lawn in photo 2!
BTW, on the day I took those...
I'm very sorry for the delay in this! As requested, this is a scan of the factory- to- dealer invoice for my vehicle. This has been a long time coming, but hopefully better late than never!
Here are a couple of pix of the Michelin Pilot Super Sports installed on the '07 V; stock wheels, front size upped to 255/40-19. No rubbing or other interference. Hope this is of some help, Victor-V.
Well: I FINALLY got new tires on my 2007 V; Michelin Pilot Super Sport, 255/40-19 all around. I put them on a new set of chromed stock XLR-V wheels, and they look good!!! (at least to me). They seem to ride a lot more smoothly than the original run-flats. Thanks to all who replied to this...
I know there have been detailed threads before on the topic of tire size changes, but I have what I hope is a simple(?!) question, if anyone can help. I am thinking about replacing the tires on my '07 XLR-V. The rears are no problem to replace with the stock size, but the fronts (235/45/19) are...
I don't know if this will help shed further light on this subject, but here goes. I have a 2007 XLR-V, Xenon Blue (color code 19U). I bought the vehicle from the U.S., used, and with the paperwork was what I believe to be a photocopy of the original factory-to-dealer invoice. Although it does...
