Mickeytee, thanks for taking the time to set me straight, I would not have thought about the sealant. I have the pdf manuals, but don’t find the detail that I’m looking for. Thanks again
Getting ready to change the valve cover gaskets, I assume steel bolts, and aluminum heads. I didn’t see anything about using anti-seize compound, any recommendations?
thanks
Thanks for the reply, what would cause you to need to do a re-learn, and does the Tech 2 come with something that would walk you through that. All I’ve ever done is read and reset the codes.
thanks again
New to the XLR, have an 04 base, do I need to get a tech 2 if I plan on keeping and maintaining this, and where do you find all of the programming information. Is it pretty easy to operate, or should I take it in for service when needed. thanks in advance.
Bob

Hello, Just picked up a Red 04, and now I’m reading about the problems that I know I have. Burnt upper light lenses, intermittent fuel gauge, and a oil leak. Love the way the car looks, and drives, but the more I read the more I wonder. Looking forward to getting to know everyone.
Thanks, Bob
