    Power Seat

nn Thanks for the reply and I would agree with except I had replaced the memory module several months previously and the problem continued until I replaced the power seat mechanism with all the motors. My only other thought is; could I have an electrical connection problem causing the issue...

    Power Seat

This is second time I've had to replace the Power Seat on my 2009 XLR. The problem is the seat - intermittently - will not remember the Memory Positions set, but you could activate it manually by pushing the Memory 1 OR 2 positions. The Dealer suggested the Memory Module was the issue and...

    Help! Dead battery issues

Dead Battery After 3 batteries in 5 years in my 09 XLR, I solved my battery problem. I went to Batteries Plus and purchased a Saleline (NSB-AGM35) Battery. It has full 5-year Full Replacement Warranty. Much better than the Delco battery supplied by my dealer. I also keep a Lithium Jump...

Help! Run Flats Tire or Not

$880 for Drive Guard Run Flats is a good price. At the time I bought them for my car (2/10/15) they were $267 each. When all totaled up, adding the taxes, mounting, etc. it was $1140. That said, it's a great riding tire so no complaints.

Help! Run Flats Tire or Not

Run Flat Tires or Not Dan & Wendy, What you say makes a good case for not buying Run Flats. Considering how many flat tires one gets today considering the quality of modern tires and the price savings with conventional (vs Run Flats) tires, you're certainly ahead of the curve from a financial...

Help! Run Flats Tire or Not

Run Flats or Not Appreciate your feedback and glad to know you've had no problems. That said, I'd rather not be stranded with a flat tire and no spare.

Help! Run Flats Tire or Not

Run Flat Tires I recently replaced the Run Flat Tires on my 09... couldn't get Michelin - not available except ones that were more than a year old which my Caddy Dealer refused to install. Instead got Bridgestone Drive Guard. Better tire, $100 cheaper per tire and better Treadware. Ride is...

LOW MILEAGE - - - Good or Bad???

My current XLR is my 2nd XLR. Only my first XLR, an 04, suffered from engine oil leaks, but what I've come to learn is oil leaks are a common problems with all Northstar engines - not just the XLR. But I'm happy to report that I've been driving Northstar powered Cadillacs since 1998 with...

LOW MILEAGE - - - Good or Bad???

Low mileage cars can be a real problem Phil105 - read your posting about low mileage cars and cannot agree more. Had a similar experience, now years and many cars ago, with a 1976 Cadillac Seville I bought with just 25000 miles on it in 1990. It was a beautiful car. In the 90 miles I drove...

    Help! Need information on XLR-V

Buying Car Sight unseen - Get a Vehilce Report from Workbench. When I bought my 2011 Cadillac DTS (Platinum Edition) sight-unseen, my local Cadillac Dealer was able to get a "Workbench" report that revealed more information than a CARFAX. The "Workbench" report had the entire repair history of...

Proud XLR owner with a problem

XLR Battery Problems I have a 2009 XLR Platinum Edition and have had battery problems as well. When I bought the car (used) with 8000 miles on it, the battery went dead after 15 minutes in the accessory mode while I was sitting in the driveway programing the radio stations. I charged the...

    Installing Front Parking Sensors?

Has anyone ever installed Parking Sensors on the front of an XLR? I have a 09 Platinum Edition and I'm concerned about interfering with the Adaptive Cruise Control which is mounted behind the front fascia lower grille.
