    Suspension Data for Possible Upgrade

I agree, the Z06 suspension parts are a great upgrade for the XLR. The extra weight of the XLR makes the suspension not as harsh as you would experience in a lighter z06.

    My Bluetooth and Smartphone Solution

I am using the USA Spec BT-45 unit. In my 2008, you just remove the rear center compartment, unplug the harness from the XM receiver and loop in the new BT unit. Took about 20 min to install. Sounds great and gives me full phone connectivity while retaining all dash and steering wheel...

    Help! XLR Header Survey

I've thought about calling D3. Never hurts to ask. They have the jig, all they need to to pay their welder to make another set.

    Suspension Data for Possible Upgrade

I don't see any reason not to add a sway bar to the rear of your XLR. In case you don't know, the base XLR only has a front sway bar - the V got a rear one. Since the car is a Corvette chassis, you can use any sway bar that fits a C6. I am currently running Z06 sway bars. I think the best...

XLR-V on Z06 suspension w/ big brakes and 19x10 wheels

I have no issue sharing what things cost. The Z06 leaf springs and sway bars were $852 from GMpartsdirect.com. I paid $2,046 for all 4 wheels, tires, and wheel spacers. I bought the wheels from various wheel reconditioning companies. All wheels arrived looking factory fresh. All 4 calipers...

    Do you see XLRs??

I spotted a black base XLR on aftermarket wheels in NW Houston on Sunday May 26th. We were both at the light for Barker Cypress on the 290 access road. I rolled the window and waved like a maniac. I think I startled the guy!

    New Intercooler Pump

The link above is dead, but here is the new location of the comparison. Intercooler pump flow testing results - Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Forum The pump onalaska used is a VariMax 410110 DC brushless pump. CTS-V kits are around $290.

    Snake Bite XLR-V

GizmoQ, I tried sending you a PM, but your inbox is full. :) I have a question about cooling the air coming through the supercharger. I read that you have used a higher-flowing intercooler pump and then went with a super chiller. Are those mods used together, or does the super chiller set-up...

Coolant temp fluctuation in stop & go traffic

Yes, 220 degrees is the top of the "normal" range for most engines. I was just surprised at how much the needled fluctuated. None of my other cars have ever moved the needle that much.

Coolant temp fluctuation in stop & go traffic

I was stuck in really bad bumper-to-bumper traffic in the V over the weekend. I spent about 25-30 min creeping along in traffic. Speed was never above 5mph. I noticed my coolant temp started creeping up to the point where the needle was covering the first "2" in the "220" marker on my gauge...

XLR-V on Z06 suspension w/ big brakes and 19x10 wheels

Thank you all for the compliments. I put about 350 miles on the car over Memorial Day weekend for her first true shakedown since swapping the wheels and suspension and brakes. The brakes are freaking PHENOMENAL compared to the stock ones. Night and day difference. I know the C6 guys talk...

XLR-V on Z06 suspension w/ big brakes and 19x10 wheels

Finally got my car back from the shop! GM goofed and never actually shipped my Z06 springs and sway bars, and it took me 2 weeks to finally speak to a human to get it sorted out. So here's the set-up: - C6 Z06 leaf spring F/R (part# 25909895 & 15233392) - C6 Z06 sway bars F/R (part# 20777536...

    Seeking 2007-2009 XLR

Yes, you should be able to find a few meeting your criteria using those website and others. 08-09 tend to fetch higher prices because of the updates made to the vehicle, but $23K isn't unreasonable for one with higher mileage.
