Thanks yes this image shows the shaft side up, The guy told me its important to have the fat part of the strut facing down when the hood is closed so the oil runs down and keeps the seal moist, if it drys out the gas can escape, Thanks for your help.

thanks for the links. Its a god start, even in their notes they say they may not fit my model. The issue for me is the freight is worth as much or more than the part and if it is not correct as many parts seem to come incorrect, it is junk as no one will need a rare part in NZ and to send it...
