Ha. Sounds crazy. But my brake fluid low error started coming on right before the Traction Control error. I had checked the BF and thought it was full. Turns out the inside if the reservoir was stained up to the full mark. Days later I took the cap off and saw it was low.
I wondered if when the...
It feels kinda strange replying to my own post, but if you ever see this message it may mean your brake fluid is low. I added about a third of a small can and so far no traction control message. I also check really well for leaks and found none. Who knows.
I get this service stabletrak error every one in awhile. Is this a valid problem or is it just a constant reminder that I should have service done on it?
Thanks,
Ron
I have a 2009 XLR with two Fobs and would like to program a Fob from my previously owned 2006 XLR so as to have three Fobs. Is that possible? I could just give it a try, but I am worried that I might screw up the Fobs that came with the car and are are working.
Has anyone tried to program an...
These cars need as much CCA as possible. If you just installed a 590 CCA and it is new, the top should go up ok. Did the dealer actually get the top to work or are they just guessing? You can try to jump the XLR with another battery with jumper cables. That will give you car the extra current...
Hi. Whoever has the tool that LTS made, I would like to use it next. Please let me know when you are done with it. I have the struts and am ready to install them ASAP.
Thanks,
Ron
Hi John. I haven't done mine yet. Long Tall Sally says he's going to build a tool that compresses the struts. When you get them you will notice that they very hard to compress with your hands. They may have to compress about 1/4". When he sends me the tool, I'll keep it and then mail it to you...
I got the ones from Amazon. They arrive tomorrow. Looks like a hard job, but I don't want to pay the dealer $60 each plus labor.
I hope I have good luck.
Ron
I've had this problem as well for awhile. At first someone posted that I need a new battery. I had the batt checked and read fine. I went through all kinds of tests and experiments because I didn't believe the acual pump was bad.
You said that you can open the trunk with the fob. The pump...
I fixed my problem with a new 640 CCA battery. Just for kicks you may want to hook another battery up to yours with jumper cables. Your problem is different than mine. A re learn is most likely your answer, but more current may do the trick.
Good luck.
Ron
So, when I open my trunk, it slowly closes by itself. I checked the linkage and other obvious things. Thought you all might be able to point me in the right direction.
I know it's not the battery because I just installed a new 640 CCA (which, by the way cured my top not going down problem)
I...
My electronics colleagues and I are trying to figure out a way to trick the thermistor or deleting the error from the programming. This $20 thermister shouldn't end up costing thousands. If I can find a solution, I'll post it. I know it's a safety feature, but I never plan to put the top down...
You said It ended up being the microswitch on the windshield passenger side. $50 repair myself. Where is this switch located? I can't find it. Did this fix your Top problem or did I misunderstand? My Top gives a Top Temp error and won't go down.
Thanks,
Ron
