I've sent off my defective ECBM to Module Repair Pro located in California last week, and got a return tracking number yesterday. The guy I talked to was very much familiar with this module and since the 05/08 Vettes share the same part, told me he's repaired thousands of them over the years...

Sadly, that day has come and gone for a LOT of the parts for our cars. Some parts are still around, if they share the C6 Corvette parts. In one case, the ECBM, also goes on the 2005-2008 Vette, is unobtanium.

You need to take it out of park, pull the shifter back to D, it's a ring around the base, use a plastic spatula or something that won't mar the finish, and pry it down. You'll have to do several sides to drop it down. Then you can access the torx screw

Same here. There was talk years ago about the CD player was integrated with the HUD, but the only thing the CD player does through the HUD is media playing and radio station info when changing stations. I don't miss that at all

We all know this part has been discontinued. Anyone have a working module for sale? Know of anyone with one for sale? Anyone have any information on refurbished/rebuilt modules or who does that kind of work? Thanks
