Thanks, did it and learned it has to be done on the driver door for the passenger side. It wouldn't work when I did the passenger side on the passenger door, so I went to the driver door and redid the passenger side and it did! Now I made a note of that proceedure, and put it in my Owner 's...

That "With all due respect" reply was for rexter314 not you. If I disconnect battery and reconnect it, is there a wait time before reconnecting ? They reprogramed under the left side of the instrument panel after the battery was put in; do I have to do that again? All was good after that...

What is it making that sound? It's quite audibile and doesn't make that sound with the passenger door opening, only the driver's door on opening, and it didn't do it 'til I got home? I made (2) stops on the way home and it did not do it!!!

What lube would you use? I used silicone spray previously on it and it worked for quite a few months? That assmbly has threads on it, so it must unthread somehow and come out from the front, because the back is all one moulded piece. It seems to be some kind of a "vacuum unit" that air pushes it...

I want to be clear; this is not the cup holder it's the compartment between th seat backs. If and when you have the repair , please contact me! I close the cover, push the latch in, and it slowly comes back out!!

Had it checked out on a lift by my mechanic friend, he found nothing. This post was months ago, and now guess what? That creaking has stopped over 2 months ago?? Crazy!!
