Dexron VI causes transmission whine / howl

Hi there, finally I changed the transmission fluid in my 04 XLR, going with Dexron VI. But: Has anyone experienced a whining / howling with the Dexron VI? Now the car starts to whine as soon as you crank it up and goes on until it's completely warmed up - even now in summer. Didn't have...

Another? Who is from Germany too? Yes it's not easy fixing things and I don't know any other XLRs here...

    Transmission fluid and filter change

Hi there, together with my garage technician we changed transmission filter and fluid on my XLR. Think 14 years is long enough with the same oil, although I know Cadillac says it don't need to be changed. But I had other experience with my STS and now change it every 50k (daily car) Anyway...

    Roof dents

Is it easy doing it with Tech II? Thought about buying this used on Ebay. Are they all the same or do I have to look for special options? What is a good price for these?

    Roof dents

Thanks a lot. I've seen some XLRs with 4 dents on the roof when I was looking for mine. That would be the four screws I see on your picture? When I open the cap link, I see a screw... Is this the wrong one?

    Roof dents

Hello together. Once I read a thread about new bolts for the trunk lid to avoid roof defects in paint, but can't find this thread anymore to determine which GM nos to order. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks, Sammy

    FOBs wanted (with 433 MHz)

Only fobs # mentioned above have this frequency.

    FOBs wanted (with 433 MHz)

Correct, but this seems to be the case for US releases. I bought one second design fob (GM/S) and it doesn't work with my receiver. You have a fob with 433 MHz?

    FOBs wanted (with 433 MHz)

Hello, maybe you already seen my posts: I need a FOB for my 04 XLR. Found out only #10347465 and #10347466 work with my receiver. Regards, Sammy

    Help! 2004 replacement key fobs

GM/X and GM/S OK, here are some new information of my fob search: Found a newer fox with GM/S mark on the back (my old one has GM/X), programmed it the way mentioned in this thread but... I can start the car by putting it into the box of the glove compartment, but can not open doors, trunk...

    Noises from the front

My experience with all Cadillacs I had in my life tells me there's always an alternate way to do the job. ;-) Think I found a post on a Corvette board, doin' it without special tools. Will check that first...

    Noises from the front

No shops familiar with XLR or Corvettes in my area. So no shops having the special tools. What other way?

    Noises from the front

Hi there. Read a lot about poping and creaking noises here on this board. Have some noises from the front end, driving is a little wiggly. So I've been to a garage (not gm) telling them about it and they said my lower control arms are worn out. So I bought new ones (here in Germany only...
