    sensor

Five ways to open the trunk. You can you the retractable top switch to open it, and there is also a touch pad above the license plate. Sensor could be going bad or out of range. Best bet is having a Tech II hooked up and see what is going on.

    Making a Change!

I agree with you Dave, but it's par for the course with Cadillac. They also abandoned the Allante owners after production ceased. Tough to build brand loyalty when you don't support your current customers, and are only looking to get new customers. They are already talking about ending...

    Making a Change!

Wish you could make it to Mid-Ohio, but understand. Hope everything is going well so far. Got to get out with it today and put about fifty miles on it. Already getting ideas on what I want to do to it! Probably won't see you until Bowling Green, as we will miss Road America this year. It's my...

    15th year BG plant homecoming reunion Sept 26 - 28 2018

I would beg to differ on that remark! There were five of us that stayed in Memphis, a block from Beale St. on our way back from our trip to San Antonio in 2009. We never had one problem.

    XLR_V engine into non XLR

Conversion There's a lot to consider on converting, no matter which direction you go. More power means a faster car, which means bigger brakes to stop that power. Getting everything in the car to still work after the swap is a big chore as well. Maybe staying with the Northstar swap would make...

04 model NO SOUND FROM THE SOUND SYSTEM

Not positive, but sounds like the Bose amplifier is bad. Maybe an auto stereo installer can check it, if not the dealer should be able to help.

    Making a Change!

Steven, It was a tough decision, but I won't have to worry about finding parts in years to come. Are you guys coming up to Bowling Green in September? It would be great to see you again. Miss a lot of the old gang! Do you still have the Allante? Tell Diane we said hello! The Tesla's are...

    Making a Change!

Hey Dave, Great hearing from you! Hope all is well. Wish it was a rower, but it has the 8 speed auto. Have only had it out once, due to weather and still have to get through the 500 break in miles, so don't have much of an opinion about yet. We will be at Mid-Ohio next month for IMSA, but we...

    Headlamp Washer Hoses

Can't help you as far as routing and I just recently traded my V in, so I can't look for you; however you might want to contact 'Mtrocket' on this site. He rebuilt the front of his. He is not on here that often, but there may be an email you can reach him at.

    Making a Change!

Both the Mid-engine C8? And ZR-1 are/or will be well above the $140,000 mark once you add options. I can't justify that for a vehicle to drive for 3-4 months in my current location. Talk to me in 4-5 years and it may be a possibility!:laugh:

Yes Chad, you will probably see us in the Z06. Hopefully I'll have it broke in by then. Today is the first day of nice weather, so we drove it to work. I posted some pics in the other thread.

    Making a Change!

Thank you all for the posts. I'm sure I'll have mixed emotions of getting rid of the XLR-V. We went on many trips across the US with many friends here. I, like pure zen, found myself wondering what if...when driving the XLR the last year. Money isn't the object; trying to replace something that...

    Making a Change!

Here's some photos: I won't be tracking the car, as most who joined the class-action lawsuit are; but I'm sure it will see the track occasionally for some spirited driving!
