It is time for a new battery and invest in a trickle charger also, for those extended non-driving periods.

I think they where made by E&G Classics for GM and where made for the XLR-V. From what I under stand they can be mounted on a base XLR but you will the adaptive cruise control, not sure where you can find one.

This happen to my XLR also a few years back, and the bolts can leave a dent or leave a hole in the paint about the size of a pencil eraser. You can either shave the bolts down or cover them with some silicone, I did the latter.

Sorry for the late reply....the actual initial problem was actually the latch mechanism. But from the the trunk opening and suddenly closing it blew out both lower hydraulic supports, the ones that sit inside the trunk area that have hydraulic lines connected to them.

This is what accumulated after about 18 hours of sitting..........

Recently the "Low Coolant" warning came on in the DIC, checked and topped off the coolant...no more warning in the DIC. About 2 weeks later the warning appears again, and I repeat the above. I noticed each time that the level in the resevoirwas getting lower and lower from the previous time...
